As the title says, does anybody know the exact procedure for this, somehow mines become cracked/smashed pretty badly after being parked in a car park and I need to replace it.

Fortunately though I have a spare pair of wing mirrors sitting at home :) (legacy of the colour coding operation that I undertook on the old ride) and was thinking that I could possibly just swap the surround and glass over as they are the only damaged parts, that and the spare pair of mirrors I have is a different colour so I want to avoid swapping the whole wing mirror unit if possible ...

cheers,
Chris

just push the mirror in at one end to rotate, it will make some clicking noises

then one the other edge that has just been raised, pull up and out. it is just clipped in place and will snap out.

Thanks!

Replaced it tonight without to much of a problem (see official mitsu instructions attached).

Only remaining problem now is that the mirror bezel looks crap all scuffed up etc Does anyone know if this part can be removed & replaced using the right tools aswell? I spent a while trying to get if off tonight so far to no avail.

cheers

Where did you get the Mitsu manual from? Is it downloadable from somewhere?

yes, it can be replaced. my old man one day while having teh ****s reversed out of our garage and destroyed the RHS mirror. the mirror is clipped in and i think the surround is clipped in but im not sure cuz dad smashed it when he totalled the mirror unit.
