Hey guys I am brand new to this forum as I am a brand new TJ Magna owner! I was just wondering if anybody has replaced their stock exhaust for a cat-back bolt on themselves?
If so, is it hard and any help with this operation would be much appreciated!

I have a room full of s#*t to go on in the next few weeks to transform this family sedan to a performance saloon :D ... The bolt on is first tho so I would love any help that you wise people could give me.

Thanks guys.

yes, it's doable, as long as you have the correct CAT back it's just straight bolt on

exhausts are easy weather they are bolt on or not, bolt on would require basic tools (ie a socket set, ramps etc) and about at the most an hour or so to fit it,

i usually weld up my own exhausts, cheaper and you have a bit more room to fiddle with them :D

Thanks guys!

That will save me a few bucks in getting it fitted. I was going to give it a go anyway, successful or not, but now at least I know it is doable. I will be confident in giving it a burl.

Thanks guys.mate, welcome to the club... just one thing to note (not trying to be rude by any means)... we have a handy little button with "search" written on it up that-a-way :stoopid: (don't mind the stupid part, its just its got a good arrow :D ) ... often when looking for common stuff like "what mods to do first", "mufflers", "shocks", "filters" etc try there first and it will usually yield a lot of info... if, once reading through some of that, you still have questions, throw up a new thread :) . (here i already used the search with the words "bolt exhaust"... click here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/search.php?searchid=82581))

cheers
Al

Thanks mate for the advise. But I did do a search and it just didn't come up with anything about fitting a bolt on. Lots on exhausts of course, but nothing I could find on actually fitting them and how long it may take.

Anyway, I appreciate the point in the right direction. The search button is very handy indeed!

(http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=655&highlight=bolt+exhaust) , but its not for a whole cat-back kit (because there isn't a catback kit that i know of, maybe RPW do one??)... anyway.... its not particularly hard, just make sure you have a half decent socket set and some elbow grease!
