View Full Version : 3.5 Verada 100k service?
Looking at another car now.. this one is an early 97 Verada; a 3.5 motor in there.
Has done 101,000km so no doubt it hasn't had the major service yet.
I presume it's the same as the 3.0s - timing belt. What else gets done at 100k? What sort of money am I looking at to get it done (not at a mitsu dealer, of course!)
Other advice and things to look out for on the early 3.5s / veradas?
Cheers,
Jules

I just did the 105k service and it cost me 450 at Shell Autoserv. Not including the timing belt which would've been about $300.

What items did the cover for that $450?
And why no timing belt? already done @100k? If so that's a lot of money for a 5k interval!!

Timing belt had already been done at the 90k service before I got the car.
Can't remember everything that was changed but some of it was oil filter, transmission fluid, platinum spark plugs, fuel filter ... ?
The Mitsubishi dealer quoted $550, but I don't know if they include a full inspection and car wash and interior cleaning.
Whoever you call, ask them if they do a manufacturer's handbook service and if they do they'll be able to give you quote.
I don't have my service book with me right now so I can't tell you everything that needs to be done or replaced.
