Hey guys, i've already installed my Diamante bar on my car, but it wasn't without A LOT of trouble. Mainly the main bolts on either side that holds the bar onto the side fenders was the bottleneck.

Just wondering, for those who have done this, how did you go? Because the Diamante reinforcement bar is a lot heftier then the standard Magna bars. That particular bolt I mentioned above is hard to get, because there was barely enough room to fit any tools up there, and even a screwdriver just wouldn't go up straight (it's hitting the plastic inner tyre guard).

It wasn't after an hour with half the screw in did I find another tool, that helped a lot. It was sort of a mini wrench (similar to a ratchet but it was not a ratchet) that you could adjust the head position along the handle.

I think I might even have to take the bar off again because the brackets to hold onto the inner plastic guards are totally out of whack, and there is just not enough room to fit and twist a set of pliers in there.

Mate

I got mine on quiet easy. once i unscrewed the bolt in the wheel arch i then puled the plastic molding back and stuffed my hand up there and used a mini phillips head.
didnt have to much trouble at all.

kb and snagma we installed a different bar to urs, that might be a reason for difficulty, plus the bar seemed to be in an accident as the bumper is pretty much outta proportion. by the way, did u's hav any problems installing the foglights? and how dus ur number plates fit? are they bent in to fit in the housing?

The numberplate area is too small for our plates, I had to bend mine a bit...then I ended up just snipping the edges off lol

The bar should mount exactly the same as the d' bars we have.

I don't know why this thread was revived, the Diamante bar has been on for quite a while now. Josh, I don't know what u mean by the foglights not fitting properly? There hasn't been any problems, ask me first next time.

how much is a diamonte bar?

Do not know how much a Diamonte bar is as I have never seen a Diamonte....

The Diamante however you can get the complete frront for about the 250.00 mark in Vic.

That leads to another question, why do so many people call it a Diamonte?

the jap, american and euro is a Diamante not a Diamonte.
The front bar came in 3 styles, the square driving light, round driving light and the DOHC had the similar bar to the KR Verada
