Last few months i been madly doin stuff to my car inbetween my 2 jobs (now only 1, yay i got time for al ife again) bascially not heaps but i got some nice stuff on way :)

List thus far:

Replaced stock headunit with Alpine CDA9830
Replaced front speakers with MB Quart DSE 216 splits
Replaced Stock muffler with Lukey LR2779 with chrome oval tip
Re-trims door inserts in black vinyl
Painted console too 'Argon Silver'
Tinted rear tail-lights (only slightly)
Debadged all over
Chrome window washer jets with LED lights (no LED lights are not connected, i want chrome not ricey lights)

Things in Progress:
Modifying stock TF grill to something more pimp (DVS style, colour coded with car)
Lowering (superlows front, lows at rear)
Rims (get the tommoz hopefully, if not ill get them monday)

Things to do - short term:
Rear parcel shelf in black vinyl
Roof lining in black felt/suede
Random vinyl dying of bits to black (stuff that doesnt get touched and wont rub off easily)
Finishing off ICE (sub+ amp, amping splits)
Tint
Eyelids

Things to do - long term:
Cat back 2.5" with new beefier muffler
Pacemaker extractors
CAI + pod
resetting of springs (lower the better :))
Colour coding
Some sort of kit!
Retrim black leather of seats
Updating ICE
TJ boot conversion (lights and boot)
Dual exhuast setup

yeh i was gunna get vault kaotiks 18x8.5 but yeh if i goto uni next year, upkeep of car will be minimal and i realy cant justify getting new rubbers next year for 18's so i got 17x8's for $1484 to my door (1584 woulda got me 18" kaotiks in shadow chrome)

if i dont goto uni tho i will def upgrade :) 80 a pair hmmm, i wanna get rears done about 15mm... maybes keep it in mind after payday this week! ive spent to much this week hahah only 1700.... woopsdoodle :)

Yeh i hope my list comes true too, if im not at uni next year i will get alot of it done, if i am im gunna have to keep it to minimum, i still got a good 3 months work left in me so more should come before uni kicks in, and if no uni well ill prolly get a better apying job and get heaps of stuff! either way with the km's my car ahs got i dont plan on getting rid of it for next 4-5 years plenty of time to build her up

Your list of mods sounds similar to mine, but I did mine in the reverse order to u :P hehe

how much did it cost for door trims to be done?

18 dollars for 2m suqare of black vinyl from textile traders and 5 dolalrs worth of hotglue sticks (already had hot glue gun) and did it myself

its not the whole door just the 2 inserts, one has cloth on it and the other one had carpet on it, now they just have black vinyl and the usual grey door trim :(

great rims...my boyfriend and i looked at getting those the other night. my mods to my car are happening real slow but my wish list is getting shorter.
getting onyx tint next week which is the 35% but in black not the usual dark colour that looks black, looking at rims this week and will lower aswell. depends on how bored i get on the weekend but might retrim doors with dark fabric and try cut out the speaker mesh so that you can see my aftermarkets.which by the way i have no idea how to do?????does anyone wanna tell me how to remove the mesh off all four speakers?
getting an exhaust put on in a few weeks too.

Take off door trim, 1 screw in the middle of the vent inlet, 1 screw in the door handle looking down from the top (you have to use a blade to pull out the clip covering it, theres a clip on the window winder (use a screwdriver to prise it off, then pull off the window winder and lock the clip back on it then just push the handle back on when your putting it all back together.) Give the trim a big pull from the bottom will pop out of its clips... keep pulling all around the bottom and sides. Lift off the top.
When you have it off its pretty easy to remove grilles, 4 screws. then the grille comes off in 3 pieces, 2 on the front and 1 on the back. There are 4 tab things to screw in...

Let us know how you go. You may want to hack up the tabs, depending on what you want to do.

i wanna redo mine one day as they dont look that good (not as good as i want) i just hot glued the edges, there are some ripples in the vinyl, u wanna do it properly then i suggest spray on adhesive on the inserts, heat up ur vinyl so its nice n stretchy and stick it down proper and stretched out

also having said that i wouldnt mind getting some out of TL VRX already with leather properly done (the dotted leather.. umm air leather i think it is? looks schmick!)

tempetyres sent me 1 rim that was the wrong PCD, a 120x5 PCD so now my car only is running with 3 rims on it and a stockie :( will get some pics when i get some batteries for camera

UPDATE: my 4th rim has been sent off today sop fopefully be here by friday or monday, tempetyres were really good about it and were more then helpful in getting me my new rim that fits :)
