Afternoon all,
I am currently pondering purchasing a set of rear speakers for my magna.
I have done some searching/browsing for an informative list of speakers that fit with little or no modifications necessary - to no avail.
I have noticed alot of users/members who have purchased sets in good faith only to return and retry with another model!
Although _i_ am definately going down the value-for-money route this week, i am curious about what upper end gear will fit :)
Im hoping eventually to fund a focal setup! w00t
... But for now a cheap set of those blue 3-way pioneers looks like a stepup
(can anyone confirm they fit?)
It would be appreciated if anyone has installed an aftermarket set they could report it here!
Thanks in advance

The 3 way Pioneer's do fit. You have to do a bit of choppin at the factory covers, but they fit. They also push out a great sound for the price!

Most Excellent!
Thanks rezza.
Sounds like ill be looking for some lighting friday night, night sound-installations always sound the best in the end.
How much chopping/cutting is required?

JBL GT mkII 6x9's fit with no cutting at all under factory grilles.
I think most stuff will fit. Just look at how far the tweeters protrude from surface. If you're going to get subs then consider buying 6-6.5" speakers for the rear. Better sq anyway. (speakers aren't meant to be oval)

Alpine 3 ways fit with no modifications (other than sorting out the wiring) - and sound very good :)
First mod I did when I bought the car, sounded good even on the standard head unit.

I have replaced the speakers in the rear of my Ralliart which are Eclispe 6x9's suited to the factory holes in the rear of the 3rd Gen magnas.
Excellent speakers with no problems and a straight fit into 3rd gens with no modifications.
Willing to let them go at a good price too so if interested let me know and snap up a bargain.

JL Audio 6x9's fit in without any mods. I fitted some in a TJ VRX II a few weeks ago and it was a huge improvement.. Done the fronts with JL Audio 6" speakers also.
