Just finished up the first stage of an audio install in my mates 1982 2 Cylinder Honda Handy Van. Install was Pioneer HU and Pioneer 6x9's only, although very happy with the way this simple setup sounds. Anyway the pics say it all. We mounted the HU in the glove box for security purposes.

More pics, may I add that mounting the 6x9's made a huge difference to sound quality and volume, A1 position, and the fact they're like 1 meter behind your pointing straight at the back of your head  .

Looks good, love that green.. and the fluff :bowrofl:
Make a box for the 6x9's.. you'll get better bass out of them if theyr sealed.. the woofer works the same as a sub.. needs to be sealed.
needs rims!!

We considered it, but it was alot easier to install them boxless, and he's planning on installing a sub some time in the future anyway.
He's gettin his windows tinted some time soon, back yard job so nice and dark  , and with the wheels, Im not 100% sure but I think mini wheels fit, so he might look into tracking a set of them down after a while. Cool little car I reckon, and dam its got alot of interior space :D .

This particular HU didnt come with a remote, so yeah it will be a bit of a **** to change CD/radio station etc while driving, even with that problem the glove box was still the best place to install it, and its not the widest car so its not all that far to reach. Like I said already though, the main reason we installed it in the glove box was for security reasons, mainly so its not able to be seen from the outside, as its and old car and wouldnt be the hardest to break into, its also another reason for why we installed the 6x9's up on the roof to try hide them from view, as they kind of hint at a CD player being installed.

Yeah its got a detachable face, but it was still easier to install it in the glove box as there was no where else to install it. And the fact its in the glove box means he doesnt really have to worry about removing the face every time he parks some where, he just has to keep the glove box shut.

well the base line stereos on the market these days all use the same face so if u steal a headunit $100-$200 from the stereo maker and its workin like new but this just makes a hassle for the person stealing it
good work on the install tho
