Hi Team,

The attached pics are of my V3000 Executive. Here in NZ we also have a V3000 Super Saloon. Both are a 3.0L V6. I'm not actually sure what the difference is to the Executive other than the wheels and the aerial is on the rear guard, not on the roof as it is on mine. (the aerial on the boot is for a two way radio)

There is also the Galant (4 cylinders, not sure on capacity) and the Diamante which can be a 2.5L or a 3.0L V6.

Now for the questions...
My car was made in December 1993, does that make it a TR?
What is a Verada?
Is a Magna always 6 cylinders?

Cheers

yes, its a TR.
and no, not all magnas are v6's, 1st gens and 2nd gens + the TE out of the 3rd gen group all hade 4cyl.
a verada is much like the top of the line version. they started with the kr verada. they have parabolic healights, different grill, electrics, were all v6 (i think) and a few other little things.

What you have there in the pic is a TR, but i think the color coding was done after it was bought. cause the chrome stripes been covered, and on the front you can see it peeled off. Plus If it was factory color coded, the mirrors would be color coded aswell.

You have KR Verada front grill there.. which confuses me.
And because it has that pin-stripe down the side, id say its an early model TR.

Good looking car :D

TR with a KR Verada grille. That explains the 93 build.

Also just to correct above, the KR verada's didnt have multi parabolics, only the KS did.

The KR had a different front bumper which is also found on the US DOHC Diamantes. The bumper you have is a standard TR bumper.

So it looks like the V3000 is in between a Verada and a Magna. They were only available in SOHC 12v 6G72 V6 from what I know, no DOHC's.
