I have to chance to buy some new mags today. I have a KF verada with standards rims at the moment. I just needed some advice to see if they would be suitable. They are BSA 304 17x8's Pirelli Vizzola 245/45's, P.C.D. 114.3, offset 40-45, centre hole 73.1. Ive got a feeling they might be a bit big as far as rubber, I dont have the load/speed rating, im assumiong a tire like a p8000 should be fine.
Now from what I can gather in NSW 8 inch wide SHOULD be OK, as it is within one inch of the largest wheel from factory (VRX 17x7). I know that the PCD is OK, however im unsure of the offset and centre hole. Any help would be much appreciated guys, dont want to miss out on them! :)

OK,what car did these rims come off?
If it's from a Commodore,they won't fit
As far as i know,Fords and Mazda's have the same offset as magna's
but,if it's from a Proper Tyre'n'rim Shop they'd help you out for
sure.

Well this is a private sale, they are coming off a transam believe it or not....I have a funny feeling he mentioned to me that they would suit commodore? From what i can gather on the rim and tyre it should be fine for magna, pcd 5 x 114.3, offset 40-45, 17 x 8 rim and 245/45/17 rubber....from what little I know all that fits within the range fo what we can use. What particular aspect makes the commodore ones unsuitable? Offset?

I thought commodore wheels had a totally different pcd value ie not 144.3, so they might be a goer.. Vicroads told me when I got new rims that they can only be one inch bigger than the model you have, not a similar one (ie VRX). The guy could have been a dumass but I would check that too...
Most wheel manufacturers will have catalogues that show all the wheel settings for all different cars. I would try and get one of those and see what that says about the magna
