Just trying to fix up some smaller issues with my wheels, a crack in my rear ;)
I've got a noticable dent and crack in my TF's rear bumper. Been there since I bought it. I just covered it up with some touch up paint to stop the plastic from rusting... ;) But want to do a real fix up...
I noticed there was a fair bit of bog in there. I'm thinkin it had already been smashed up once.
Now the bumpers dented slightly from the crack and I was wondering how to go about fixing it up. Easy to take the bumper off? (how)
Possible to knock out dents in the plastic? Easy to bog up the crack?

Or would I be better Off replacing the lot? If so? how much are new rear bumpers, what options do I have for aftermarket kits, (I dont mind starting with the bumper seeing as it needs to be done then working my way round)

I have a towbar kit, But dont really need it if that helps and the colour is Kashmir/ champagne.

thanks in advance

Peace

Tim

Take the bumper off. Heat up the area from the inside with a hairdryer, careful not to scorch the paint. Using a broom handle push it back into place. caution: plastic will be very hot.

Since there is a crack you'll need to repaint it anyway. The best way is to immerse the whole bar in very very hot water, and the plastic will pretty much pop back into place with a little nudge.

Then you'll just have to spray putty, undercoat and repspray the bar.

Dunno yet, I've never done any real work on painting cars, just a few small patches on the old bomb, (primer, sanding, spray etc) but I'd want a good job done on the magna. What would be involved exactly. Any differences for painting plastic?
How much would it cost at a pro place tisch?
Thanks
