Hey guys/girls,

My gfs Gen1 (90) Magna exec is having a few issues.
I havent been able to look at it when it happens cause its either when im not around or early in the morning and i cant be arsed getting up.

Basically there is a heap of smoke coming out from under the bonnet and car from the passenger side and she said she can hear bubbling coming from there. She didnt want to lift the bonnet incase something happend.

Only thing that comes to my mind is that the overflow bottle is dripping on to the exhaust pipe causing the steam? It only happened since i filled up the radiator with coolant... was i not meant to do it that way??

Also it isnt overheating as the temp guage doesnt go over half.

bubbling and smoke.

sounds like ur overflow bottle is full of bubbling coolant which is being spilt out onto something hot, probably exhaust pipe like u said. did u put anything into the overflow bottle aswell? only reason i can think of that it would spill is cause there is too much coolant (but that can only be done by overfilling the overflow bottle?)

oh, do the fans work on the car? (2 fans at the front of the car). double check that the fans switch on. i had this happen awhile ago to me and it was cause the fans werent switching on.

if none of that works, u could try flushing the coolant system. take ur radiator out aswell and either do ur best to flush it out or get it professionally flushed.
