I want some detailed photos of your carbi and vacuum hose setup so i can draw a diagram up for subby, and whoever else, on how to bypass the emissions and maximize fuel econ and throttle responce.

If you give me maybe....5 days? I can get you detailed pics as my engine will be out by then. :badgrin:

thats helped me a bit. ive found a huge vacuum leak in my setup. car idles soooooo smooth now. :D

i bypassed the purge valve (vents fuel vapour into intake manifold) and EGR (i already had that disconnected) and my fuel economy is quite good. i get an extra ~30-50km on what i do atm. (i always use BP ultimate) - this prob leads me to belive my valve was stuffed and letting it in at incorrect times.

throttle response on my car is quite good anyway but this made it a tad better.

all up worth doing i mean i left the lines still there (plugged etc) so if need be i can put them back :badgrin:

the only emmisions related thing i would NOT TOUCH is the cat. little or no difference performace wise on a N/A car + the smell is rediculous. not worth doing.

pretty much, unless its buggered anyway.

if i ever get photos of the engines/carbi ill draw a diagram for you's to follow.

yeah same here i think.... i fiddled with a few vacuum lines and added a bit of oil cos it was low... and i dunno whether it was the oil or not but it now sounds like one of those novetly sliding whistles when u rev it. heh

hows everyone going, still need pics. even if they are in the car.

Ill be messing around under the bonnet tomorrow, should be able to take some pics at the same time. :cool:
