I used to have a soundstream 12" and amp, but it was actually my brothers and he took it back recently to put in his magna. I didnt want to spend a fortune so I just got a 12" Type S for $219 with box.
The rest of my system is a Kenwood CD/MD head unit, pioneer 3 way 6 inchs front, kenwood 6x9s rear.
Running the sub is half of my eclipse EA3422 4x50w 4 channel under my passenger seat, giving it only 140wrms, but it has surprised how how well it goes despite this. Much better than the soundstream ever did thats for sure.
Im happy with it for now, but when i can afford it i will get either a bridged 1x400wrms Alpine 2 channel (MR 420 or something), or the 501 Alpine monoblock and another type s :cool:
