Just looking for som adivce, my mates TJ magna with standard auto is stuffed. the gears wont kick in utill he revs it to 2k or above. He has spoken to mitsubishi and they are stuffing him around by telling him he needs a reconditioned trans. oh and it'll cost him $8K.
Has anyone else had a simular problem and also would anyone knw some where is north west sydney that you could reckomend.?

$8K?! :shock:
For that much you could get a full auto to manual conversion including new donk, new box, new shifter...performance clutch or LSD...

8 grand??? which dealer is quoting that?? thats not a rebuild.. thats more than a complete new unit! mitsu dealers can get a rebuilt auto direct from mitsu.. exchange basis.. i think from memory they are about 2 grand, and about 500 or so to fit, with oil etc!
also, neville's automatics on canterbury road bankstown (?) are a mitsu approved auto rebuilder, they can also do it, for a reasonable rate i reckon! otherwise, id try another dealer.. and tell those retards where they can stick the 8 grand! :rant:
