my te is going to need an engine rebuild in the next couple of months, i was thinking of just dropping in a 3.5.........

what is needed?

i know ill need a computer,

are the engine mounts the same?

is the wiring harness the same?

What is wrong with your current engine? How many K's?

its going to need rings soon, its starting to blow a bit of smoke under heavy exceleration

170,000ks................. i dont think it was serviced very much before i got it

when i had my TE i was planning on dropping the the 3.5L and tiptronic box. prices went from $2250-$3000. drive in-drive out. with 3 month warrenty. that is threw wreckers in sydney.

apparently bolts in...not sure bout the tip-tronic thow...they said it would!

mine is manual, so i want to use my box

luckily my brother in law i a mechanic, so i only have to buy parts

ive been quoted 850 for a reco engine!

will u need the ecu from a manual 3.5l aswell ??

well i just found out my engine isnt dying!

dodgy senser or somthing. so im going to put the swap on hold, no point fixing what isnt broken!
