Well i'll start by telling you what happened. 2 weeks ago my imobiliser key button thing what ever u call it wouldn't open the car, so i went and got a new battery (naturally assuming that was the problem) and when i did that, worked perfectly fine. Well that was untill last night. I get out of my car, press the button, it locked, perfect. I knock on a friends door, he comes out, i press the green button.......... nothing. I try again and again, i press the red and then the green still nothing. What would have happened in that 2 minutes to stop my imobiliser from unlocking??

Well i used the key and got going. I know the imobiliser and alarm are working cause when i lock the car with the key, the green light on the dash says security activated or something. Is it just a dodgy remote or is it something else.

BTW its a 99 Verada XI.......... any help would be appreciated.

its hard to tell. Install a new battery again??? :P

You could always try to reprogramme the remote again, but that doesn't explain why it stopped working in the first place.

I have no idea what mu remote was doing but it now works, i reset it to the car and have had no dramas with it since. No one that i have asked knows y it would just suddenly not work but its all good now.
