 just got 17inch rims on my 97 TE yesterday and lowered with LOvells lows. Not much of a difference as the car still looks like its in 4WD mode. The shop where i did it said to bring the car back and they would put the super lows all round at no charge.
What height difference will this make on the car?
how much damage will i do with it being so low?
What does every one think.......Super lows all round or not?

get the lovells superlows (50mm drop - unless this has changed?).. they arent as low as the King Spring superlows which are (60mm)

Should be fine.

do you have problems with rubbing on the guards?
have you ever been pulled up by the cops for being too low?
i have the lows in at the moment but exchanging them on friday for super lows cause i cant tell the difference with the ones i have now.
Whats your opinion on this?

Whats your opinion on this?*edit* this should have read Super* Lows on a standard magna will not make you defectable.. Youd need to compress them another inch at least to be under the 100mm height clearance.

ask the place installing them for you, they should know everything you have questions for, but too low is you cant pass a coke can under the lowest point on your car, not inc your mud guards. so as bain said, as long as your lowest point is on or above 100mm then your fine.

will the wheels rub in the guards?
if so how do i stop it.
the guys in the shop are not much help when it comes to answering my questions(seem to be missing a few brain cells).
i asked them what the result would be from the lows b4 they put them in and they said just legal but barely.....the result is way above legal...so you can see that they are not much help.
i just want a realistic view of what the super lows are like and what the result may be with them....and scrapidge.....?

go the superlows, your car should be 20mm lower than it is now.

I don't think you will get any scrapage but you can't drive it like you stole it!

80mm drop front and 95mm rear keeps me close ;) enough to legal and I have a bodykit.

Unless I am carefull over humps (should be illegal ones, I just cant attempt) my bodykit becomes a block of cheese

i just dont want to make another mistake.

Should be fine.

kings only make superlows for the front only now they have stopped super lows on the rear so have pedders i have tried.

i have found lovells are usually a bit higher than kings and pedders.

Sorry for the potential topic hiijack.

I wanted to lower my car for my own personal christmas present and was looking to buy King Springs, superlow's all round, as some of you have said in this topic it's a possibility that you cannot purchase king superlows for the rear?

1) Is this true?
2) If not, how are superlows all round with scrapage factor on a 3.5lt with Pacemakers
3) If so, is the drop with superlows on front and lows on rear not level? Not as good handling setup as superlows all round, ect.

If #3 is correct being that if I got Kings superlow/low setup how is that in comparison to Lovell's superlow/superlow setup.

Soz for the craaaazzzy questions.

it is true kings no longer make superlows as the spring falls out of place with big bumps if you get what i mean but nothing stopping you from getting lows and getting them reset by a spring place to your level you want.
