Hey All,

I've been keeping my project pretty quiet but I thought id share my results with you all.

I first purchased and fitted the K&N Induction Kit which looks great and sounds hot. After installation it felt I lost a little down low but after 3000rpm I could feel a massive difference, it just kept on revving no problems.

I soon after had a set of pacemakers fitted. Initially I didn't feel much of a difference but as they bedded in I felt a nice gain throughout the whole rev range but more so between 2500 - 4500 rpm.

I had a dyno in stock form which is the Blue Line (120.2kw / 161.3hp). The Red Line (131.7kw / 176.6hp) shows the power curve after the 2 mods were completed. As you can see I managed to pick up 11.5kw which I think is pretty decent. An analysis of the A/F Ratio's showed that the car has leaned out alot which is where alot of the power has come from. Its still well within safe ranges so theres no problems with detonation etc.

All dyno runs were carried out on the same dyno, with the same wheels in 4th gear to keep everything constant. There was a 5psi difference in tyre pressure at the time however this shouldn't affect the readings at all I was told.

I've just purchased a Greddy E-Manage with the lot and that will be fitted early jan so we will see how that goes. My aim is for 140kw at the wheels but we will see how we go anyway.

Thanks all
Blake

a well tuned emanage will exceed 140kw at the bags if you already have 130odd.

 keep up the good work!!! Good to see you used a dyno dynamics dyno

Nice work. Maybe everyone should do their manual runs in 4th. Hate to say that tyre pressure can affect figures. The higher the pressure, the higher the figure. Don't know how much it takes though but I can feel a 2PSI difference in my car driving so I'd suspect that 5PSI will have an effect.

Redav your right with tyre pressure however at 35psi they were full, at 40psi there were overinflated. It would affect the readings say if one run the tyres were low and the rollers were biting into the tyre and the other run they were full etc. But in this case it shouldn't affect the readings.
