Folks,

Hello from the other side of the globe, this was an interesting product for the Mitsubishi 3000GT aka GTO in other parts. Please take a look at the links provided and provide thoughts as to how it could be used if at all on our application (6G74 3.5 L) :bowrofl:

This product was discussed in this forum here in the US http://www.diamanteowners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4540

Some folks liked it, others had issues with the placement and type of SC but I thought I would import the topic here and see what the general feeling was across different boards.

Thank you all:)

had a look at all your info.sorry dont like the look of it and only 15 seconds of boost at a time .
i like my set up,a side mounted vortex with inter cooler witch can run up to 20 psi that one only runs 8 psi
do you want to go fast or just want a little extra power
do you want 12+ seconds quarter mile or will you be happy with less
i have spent the last 6 months and a hell of a lot of money to get the best sc that will fit right and perform the best and still have around 2 months more work on it
but the choice is up to you but for 15 sec of boost what about nos

I had an idea for placement of a supercharger ... ditch the aircon compressor and mount it there.

Then get an electric air con compressor ..... like that used in the Toyota Prius.

I thought it was a good idea until I found out the compressor on the prius costs ... wait for it .... $3500 ... bloody nora! :) The poor bloke on the phone copped a "you have to be bloody ****ting me" ... but its true!.

Pomejo, are you refering to the SC or to the electric SC they mention on that site? I ready very little about that electric set up but I was under the impression this SC was a roots set up. With the electirc you had a limited shot of boost, not with the SC

I agree, these guys just happen to have those kits. The SC was just interesting since it fit the SOHC and the DOHC versions of the V6 on the 3KGT.

mines a kapa vortex the big model mounting is on top of the intake plenum witch has been converted to make the sc fit. it can run 20+psi

pomejo, do you mean CAPA (Centrifugal Air Pumps Australia) & a Vortech s/c? If so, how can they valley mount it, since all the Vortech S/C are centifugal? (look like turbos)

Also do you know if the CAPA Pajero S/C kit will bolt on the Magna since they are essentially the same setup at 90 degrees. I suppose when you think about, you'd only really need the adapter plate to go onto the intake.
