I recently invested in a set of 15" Subs for ym car and built a box for them. Now my problem is that they are not kicking at the same time, rather alternatively to each other. Is this normal? the box is a bit smaller than recommended and not ported. And the subs ar JL Audio 15W0. I have tried fiddling with the gains and cant seem to correct the problem ,so any idea's peeps?
is there a spacer between the inside of the box or are they in the one space ?

Its just one big open box, just a shell. Would it be wirthwhile ripping it apart again and putting a chunk of mdf in the middle turning it into 2 seperate boxes?
i dunno mayb
something to try

Basically you have one sub wired up incorrectly. Swap positive and negative terminal appropriately.
You will be hearing cancellation atm.
Also it will be best to put a spacer in between your box. Make sure its as symmetrical as possible

I just went and hammered a port into the side and its working sweet now. The whole house vibrates when the boots open!

From the boot? You walk around the car and hear EVERYTHING rattle!
some hardcore anti rattle work is next i think.
But i will give what you said a go and swap the terminals around, see if that helps anything.
