i think they are dumb, dangerous and look stupid. best spending the money one something like a professional exteriour detail or interiour, or even both depending on how much the flame throwers are worth. the detailing will make your car look nicer and newer

The most stupid thing you could possibly buy for your car, they are dangerous and look crap on a stock car. Spend your money getting something that will actually make your car perform better.

bad idea i dont see what you could gain from that.

if you do use it on a public road it wont take very long for you to get caught; either pulled over on the spot and be issued major defect notice - meaning off the road immediatly, and you wont be driving the car home either. or someone will get your numberplates and report you and you will have to spend effort taking it off before you go to get EPA tested.

i dont see why, even for the wank factor its dangerous as. also i dont think it would even work with a catylic converter, just see how big the fine is for not having one.

wot i want is one of those self protection kits that mounts flame throwers out the side of the car to prevent hijackings (south african co. was advertsing them).

would be great for the window wipers at the intersections !!! :O

how much are they? and how could that money b better spent?

going towards rims?
CAI?
exhaust?
audio equipment?

if u want to get the flamethrower, by all means get it if thats wat u want. in the end its up to u. we can only give advice. it would b very unique on a magna, put it that way.

goodluck with it,

they are like $120 or so

dont know of any one getting defected for these ??? no idea but its simply just a spark plug that burns eccess fuel from yur exhaust,

but if u were to get it ud have to be careful of any one walking behind your car or the car behind u, could melt their bumper

:soapbox:

what purpose will this serve??? :belt:

aside from the fact that if there is someone near ur car when its used, there can be a serious injury, which with todays lawyers will cost your your arm, leg and ur car and then some...... :disgusted

personally id spend the money on something else.

(buy ur mum a nice present!!!!!!)

goto:http://www.flamethrowers.com.au/

They have prices and ****, at the end of the day its your own choice, but the money would be better spent elsewhere.

i dont see how a 4 cyl car can even produce a flame assuming you keep your cat, and even then how are you going to force an EFI system to run rich? either way you will be needing a new exhaust system fairly quickly when the old one blows apart.

much like ur nitro methanol system, u can rig up something (ie injector or something that squirts a liquid) into the path of the exhaust. squirting a fuel, all u need is a spark (a spark plug modded to fit and spark) and there is ur flamethrower. this is the do it urself home job, dunno how the real ones do it. ohwell... oh and dont worry, i have never though of doing it lol
