ok, my mate has:

Fusion Powerplant 6.5" splits
Eclipse 12" 250w RMS sub
stock prelude rear 6" speakers (for fill)

with a budget of $500, wat amp could he get? he needs something that is of decent quality, but for cheapish. he previously had an Eclipse EA3422 and it wasnt enough to power the splits or sub. this amp was $500 and was 4x50w RMS. not going near real dodgy brands like BOSS etc... are the JBL amps any good?

thanks in advance

im not sure wif jbl amps, never really delt with them. ive heard good things about the amps that jaycar sell, they are ment 2 be pritty good. ive got an 1200wat AKAI amp 2 power my subs and ive had nothing bad with it. i know AKAI aint some "fancy" brandname but its serving me well.

i've got a US Audio amp running my set up in my lancer and that has served me well. I think i paid $399 for it and its 4X75WRMS, but that was 3 years ago.. lol

Look at some Audiobarn Amps. Go into JB. I actually use Audioline Monoblocks and they are fine and are very well priced.

i've never used Audiobahn stuff. Audioline is very reasonable for the price. If you want an audioline monoblock theres one in the city JB Hifi for $400 or something... Reduced big time. And apparently 1000w rms too. Damn big thing though.

Jaycar/Response are also very solid and lots of bang for your buck.

Probably ur best bet if ur on a budget.
