Changing the rear rotors have fixed my brake shudder problem, the stock rear rotors were warped/DTV/not flat. It caused all sorts of problems during braking, but it's good now, just bedded the new pads in and hopefully it'll stay that way, nice and linear braking. Next thing is to check the front alignment to see if it is causing the shimmy on the steering wheel.

anyway, THank to PhilTH for the DBA group buy, it was well worth it and I'm 100% satisfied.

I'd also like to thank PhilsTH for organising the DBA replacement rotor group buy - as well as noticing an improvement to general brake 'feel', I've noticed that the dreaded TJ hand brake shoe rubbing noise is gone now.

Not to mention they look great painted up - behind my 18's. :dancin:

Thanks again Phil!!!

I have my fronts, my rear set come in on Wednesday. Tell me something, I ran my hand over the surface and the slots are quite sharp, would it pay (for brake pad sake) to get the edge taken off them? (professionally I mean, not with my rotary tool) to stop them chewing through the first set of pads? or should I buy another set of pads and save the Bendix for next time around? or should I just not worry about it?

they are sharp for a reason, it helps to smooth the top layer of your pads (deglace)and prevents buildup of gasses on the pad surface. If you chamfer the 90degree edges, it won't be able to remove the top layer and you could have glace over your pad.

I wouldn't muck around with the rotors. DBA are the experts, not me (or you) so as far as I'm concerned how they manufacture them should be how they'll work best.

As for Phil, thanks again. I was going to post a similar thread saying thanks with some pics, but I been away for work for a few weeks now, so I've been a slack arse!

My brakes feel good and they look great. Install was no problems.. an easy DIY for most people with a bit of an idea. Three cheers for Phil!
