You will never get rid of all the vibrations the only way would be to not have subs. but like that would happen once you have had them. the easiest way would be to find what is actually vibrating and if you can pull it off, pull it off and put foam in behind it and put it back on. that would be a cheapest way or you can get some dakron (something like that) it is a sound deadener but it is pretty expensive. Most car audio shops should be able to organise some for you and maybe even install it for you.

You'll find it's your license plate doing most of the rattling, try putting something under it, my mate uses socks :bowrofl: , but it works! Also you can carpet your boot lid and around the edges of your boot, that'll stop a fair bit, you can go the whole way and asphault your car, but that's only if you're planning entering hardcore audio comps. Carpeting should do the trick.

Only one way to go, sound deadening. The rattles are caused by resonating panels. Such as your bootlid. The way to stop resonation is to increase the weight of the surface which increases it's resonant frequency. Best way to do this is to use a tar based deadener. There are many products, GSpot, Serenity max, stinger roadkill, flashtac etc...
You can also use paint based products, but are a lot of hassle esp on upside down surfaces, and ul need several layers.

Best and cheapest way is a real car audio deadener (flashtac is too thin/waste of money) A boot will cost about $80 worth max. But you can put several layers on. The stuff just rolls on and has a foil backing to keep it all neat.

This will stop your noise.

Dacron etc will stop rattles so to speak but will do nothing for resonation. which is the main problem.

Other little things like number plates etc can be solved with foam, rubber, tape, anything really. You can also deaden other areas of the boot. Around the ski port etc. Skys the limit.

Deadener can be bought from most car audio shops. Also autobarn, jaycar etc.
But yeh dont look like a tool with ur boot rattling... Do your front doors as well.

Sadly there is no hard and fast cure for rattles. We must tell every customer this. :(

It's a matter of a lot of sound deadening and foam, and even more patience. :)
