Hi, Finally got a pic of my rear speaker issue. The original grille doesnt fit back over my new speakers due to them sitting too high. Any idea's as to how to finish the edging so the chassis doesn't show through?
maybe recarpet the whole parcel shelf

Greetings All.
Recarpet it. Also, that way you can add more sound deadening :D

Mainly you'd just have to hide the edging, so you could recarpet the whole shelf, or you could get some carpet, cut out a hole the same size as the one you have, leave about 2 inches of edging and slide it under your current carpet. You could put anything around the speaker really. Also the stock cover should fit, you sure you're not using the spacer that came with the speaker? cuz if you are that'll cause it to be higher.

I had the same problem when I installed my speakers. All I did was cut away the plastic underneath the original cover to make it fit. It's a pain in the neck but a lot easier and cheaper than re-carpeting the parsel shelf.

I would just use the original mitsu grills, I just finished putting in some pioneer 6 x 9's and the original grill was still used.
