View Full Version : yay another tech question! - idle out?
im starting to think maybe we should rename the tech forum to "v64 needs help with"
I just had the nice people at racv replace my battry for free as it was under warranty but now the car is idling out! :(
i can rev it, and keep the car going, but when im watching the rev's
its sitting at 1k then dropping to 750 then up to 1k then dropping out or ill start it and it will drop out after about 3 seconds
possibly be a vacume leak? im not sure any other suggestions?

yeah - rough idle check ur air hoses
manual
looks like its fixed itself
i think the ecu teaches it self the correct idle speed?
cause i had racv come out and have a look
they think that if it persists just go to mitsubishi and get them to rest the idle speed

Yeah, the ECU has some learning to do when it's lost power. I unplugged the battery to reset my HU. I didn't notice anything different but a few people suggested to drive casually which it sorts itself out.

It's about 3 screws and a plug!
