Hey everyone,

Just scored myself a 2001 VRX TJ and am looking for another body kit. Where are some places in QLD that stock kits for VRX's?

Also, the clear taillights... Will they suit a 2001 VRX?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=36607&item=4513015712&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

This forum is pretty good so far!

Thanx,
MASOSi

they wont fit a TJ or TL properly .. they will go on and work ok but it looks a lil tacky cos the clear lights have the same crease in them that follows on the boot lid for the te-th ........ i know i aint explaining my self her very well :P

what kit u looking at getting ? .......... my advice is just loose the spoiler and lower the carsome more ........ you will be amazed at the difference

See this thread if your interested in replacing the std tail lights on a TJ with something aftermarket -----> http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11571
Then there's also the TJ equivalent Verada tail lights - which look pretty smick on a black magna (search these forums for a recent pic of WaTCHME's car)

I don't know of many places in qld specifically that do kits specifically for magnas - but you could try ares speed on beaudesert road coopers plains. On there website (this was a while ago - might not still be there) there was a picture of a magna with a 'talon' kit. the talon kit isn't anything special IMO - but I'm not a body kit man. I'm pretty sure a place like ares would be equipped to do something custom to if you want something really unique.

A couple of non QLD based places come to mind. SSV in sydney and Banbury in WA.

You'll be able to find links for both these places here:
http://www.fastmagna.com/products/index.html

And Welcome to Aussie Magna - hope you enjoy your stay.

*edit* - I know I said I'm not a body kit man - but if you decide to get rid of your VRX body bits (spoiler excluded) I might be willing to give them a good home.

Remove the spoiler? Are you kidding? That will make it look more stock than ever!

On that thread, Black Beard, are those lights still available?

Why do you want to get rid of the VRX kit? Its an awesome kit, so is the ralliart actually, but since you cant buy them, the VRX is the next best thing. You are  lol

You can keep the spoiler - I'm not a fan of the TJ VRX spoiler (the sports on the other hand has a nice spoiler), but I'd seriously consider taking the front/rear bar and side skirts off your hands (you should see how much mitsubishi want for them - can you spell bankrupt?)

Send TButcher a PM if your interested in the altezza style tail lights - don't know if he's original order is all spoken for yet or not. Otherwise - they should be available at selected retailers fairly soon from what I can gather.

Did you manage to find a pic of WaTCHMEs car with the Verada tail lights on?? I like it alot - wouldn't suite a Kashmere colour car tho

Dude..

Try Jetspeed on Moss Street in Slacks Creek
or
Arespeed on Beaudesert Road, in Coopers Plains
or
DMD in Coopers as well.. I can't remember the name of the street..

They all do kits.. Jetspeed's done kits for Magna's before eg. THE RED DEVIL & Big Rhino

Alot of my mates have gone to DMD and I can really vouch for their work being top notch as they only charged me $20 for the fixing up off my dodgy bogging up on the modded grill for the TF.

Which reminds me.. I still havent painted that thing.. I wonder where I left it..

Spoilers, spoilers, spoilers..... Okay this is what happened, TJ series one VRX & Sports had the same rear wing, around August 2001 Mitsubishi did an upgrade sometimes called a TJ 1.5 this is when the Sports wing shrunk and the GTVi became available with the same wing.

Hope this helps.

Thanx heaps for the info on where to get what from.

As for now, i think i will keep the VR-X kits, until more cash rolls my way.

Also, what merchandise does AMC have to offer?

probably a weird question but that white car with the jetspeed kit is a verada?? will the VRX kit fir a verada, or will the front bar and rear bar be too differant.

Pretty sure you'll find the bars are tooo different for it to fit straight on. But find a place that does custom work in that area and they'd probably be able to mould on some bits to make it fit.
