Depends on who you know really.. Stay clear of strathfield for installs although sometimes they do have good specials on gear. I would recommend lifestyle in parra or castle hill.. They sell good quality gear and their installs and good.

If you find one you really like.. just call around and get prices. If its just a HU they may not give u such a good deal.

Dunno what part of NSW your in, but if your in sth.....

In wagga ask for Dan at Wagga car radio and hi-fi. he'll look after you and done some of the best installs ive seen, incl 6 ZR 12" subs into a 99 Lancer coupe.

Or

Albury, Darren Smalles also alpine dealer, will do deals and does good work.

In my opinion Alpine can be a tad more expensive, but damn its worth it Alpine is the best.

And a tip, installers dont work for free....you pay for what you get.

Alpine is definately a good move. There are a heap of certified alpine dealers in sydney..

http://www.alpine.com.au/contact/?state=nsw

find one near you for a price, you also might wanna check out ebay see if you can get anything cheaper.

Cough, Cough, nearly die! WTF, u get wot u pay 4 dude and pioneer are bottom mainly bottom end stuff (mid range at the most on their top-end stuff) that u can get at marlows. Only dealers that brands like alpine will LET them sell them can u find the better stuff. The research and software engineering that goes into alpine units is far better than pioneer...

i totally agree with wot TF-LAD said

and also, my bro is an installer and he fully endorses the new eclipse h/u's and esecially their subs, apparently they are AWSOME bang for buck!

My suggestion, listen to sum /////Alpine gear, then say they suck compared 2 Pioneer. Actually, i dont even think Pioneer can be compared to /////Alpine.

HAHA, what a great statement, I can see that you are gonna get lots of statements that would disagree to you. I would also disagree to that statement.

Pioneer is not that bad, but I definately have to say alpine headunits are better than that of pioneer no matter what. Top of the range pioneer, although may not look as good as pioneers (i don't like how all alpine h/u look sorta similar). Unmatched build qualities, sound quality and reutation.

Every brand has their good end and their cheap end... Alpine and Pioneer both make good quality gear.
IMO alpine has a better audiophile range, But Pioneer have better looking decks and a lot of functionality and are very user friendly.

How bout Nakamichi?

How bout Nakamichi?

Gotta agree with you there, Nakamichi is among if not the very best gear around.
But it goes back to what I said "You pay for what you get"

And I do believe Nakamichi H/U's start at about $900 for a very basic model.

I preety convinced I'm getting a alpine head unit

maybe the CDA-9827 or the CDA-9826 maybe the CDA-9826, I just want something simple I won't be going overboard with the sound system maybe put on a few better speakers thats all. I Know that all 3 can support the AI Net stacker which I have from my former cars I'll never let this stacker go unless it dies :D

I got quoted $660 installed for the CDA-9827 at Stage-Co in Blacktown
