Evening all.
I have a Nov96 magna 3ltr V6 and was wondering if it's possible to put a later model 3.5ltr motor and gearbox in my beast? If that don't work...can anyone suggest how to make my 3 ltr go just that little bit better.
Will post photo's when I get my new wing fitted.
Cheers wr7

what have u done to it so far????
filter, cai setup, zorst, chip it, extractors,
3.5 isnt that much more powerful to 3 ... doesnt rev as hard and is 147 to a 3ltr 140kw
if you've done few of those mods above then you'd be pretty close to a 3.5 so be waste of money to upgrade

With the popularity of the 3.5 I cannot believe their isn't a bore and stroke kit available to simply make a 3.0 into a 3.5, isn't all that extra torque due to the stroking of the engine???
Surely shorter conrods and a re-bore kit (thats if the 3.0 shares the same block) would increase it's capacity to 3.5 and raise the torque accordingly? This has been bothering me for some time to the extent where I was and probably still will start a new thread on it.

for the price on boring extra to get done better off chipping, extractors etc...
it bet 3.5 and pretty well if u raced a mods u had you'd be pretty well close to neck n neck.
and theres no point to bore to 3.5 use more fuel consumption might be more on insruance depending on age for what few more kw's thats really determend on how good the driver is anyway or a bad start or to long changing gears..

my understanding is that the 3.5l block is slightly taller, giving it the increased displacement so even though the engines are roughly the same they are slightly different as well,
but as others have said, your better off getting other mods first then looking into bore/stroke kits
firstly though, what do you hope to achieve? do you want turbo beast and spend lotsa $$$ or something that is just a little quicker than normal??
