I am thinking of changing the stock filter to a K&N one. How is such a filter recharged? Are the washed in mineral turps and then reoiled using some "custom" oil like Uniflow filters?

Unfortunately Uniflow does not make the panel sort of filter for the Magna.

I am also interested in installing a performance Exhaust. Any recommendations?

K&N have their own cleaning fluid and filter oil which you use to clean and recharge the filter.
As for exhausts, it depends on your preference but have a search around the forums first. There's plenty of info already posted which you won't get no matter how many times you ask.

My recommendation, go for the panel, not the pod.
