My car has been giving me quite a bit of trouble for months now.. it's probably getting close to a year. I've taken it in and my fuel pressure regulator is the problem. It has causing my car to run rich which is why it hesitates and tries to stall on me anywhere between 0 and 80 km/h.. some days it's fine and other days it's a real *****. Full pressure at idle.. is not cool. Anyhow..

I've read in the Gregories that it is possible to replace the O ring.. which is what I have been told is busted. I'm obviously no mechanic but if I can replace a $2 piece of rubber instead of spending $400+ for a new FPR + labour then I'd like to do it. Possible? Worth it - not going to stuff up again soon?

Do not think that its the o ring as it is only a seal (you have no leaks??).What you need to have done is a pressure check done on the fuel pump.Does any one know what the max psi you can get out of the OEM fuel pump.If I have my psi set at 40lb it will go to 50psi with vac off, but if i set it to 45psi it still only gives me 50psi vac off.
