hi all

im wanting to do an oil change on my car tommorow and need to buy a socket/spanner to undo the oil sump bolt. im just wondering if someone can tell me what size socket/spanner im gonna need to undo it. i've done it once before by borrowing the right socket off a friend but i can't remember what size.

btw i tried to do it today, but of course i didn't have a spanner/socket big enough

Thanks

It is a 24 mm on the first and secon gen cars.

Use a "single hex" socket, pref impact socket with a breaker bar as a spanner may slip and round the plug head.

A single hex is a socket with only 6 sides inside the socket.

it's the sam on all magna's ... 24mm ... i have a 3rd gen which is 24mm and my old 2nd gen was the same and the old man has a 1st gen which is also the same :) ... at least they made something easy by keeping it all the same
