Got a major prob as i said in the title teh tail gate on me tf wagon wont open.
When door is locked handle works as ussal, But when it is unlocked handle is just jammed and u cant pull it. My few probs are- There is no release mechinism inside, to take inner door trim off u have to have the door open which i cant do :confused:
Any one had this problem if so how did you go about fixing it i have no idea, I am about this close to taking a angle grinder to the back door and deseaming it a bit sooner tehn origonaly planned :D but i would rather not hehehe so yeah give me any ideas you have thanks all

sounds wierd, my boot release is giving me trouble too, i think the lock is broken though, ANYWAY, try giving it a good kick.

Had a similar problem with a toyota commuter bus tailgate once, not exactly the same I know, but what we had to do to get that open, was actually take the trim off from the inside as part of the handle mechanism had bent inside the door and by pressing the handle outside, it was not actuating far enough to dis-engage the locking mechanism. Once we had the trim off, we could manually manipulate the mechanism to open the door and then fix the problem.

I honestly dont know if you can take the trim off a wagon tailgate with it closed, but if you can, you should be able to get the tailgate open pretty easily once you have access to the inside of the door.

Failing that, the only option I might suggest is grabbing hold of the handle and giving it a real firm jimmy in both locked and unlocked positions and see wether this may "encourage" it to open :redface:
