Is this legal? As I was told the "Mirror" tint is illegal...so I would be surprised if this is? any ideas?

i have sprayed my windows black, (It cant be legal!,) I need to take it of, by day, it's awesome! but by night! if the object is not emitting light, you are struglling to see it!,

i have Limo tint, 5%, and 15% on the drivers window! i am considering taking it all off! and getting the metalised, i want it to be silverish of copperish!

after having dyed polyester tint! i can reccommend that noone else gets it!, it's a strain at night!, but really really dark,

pre rims' and a second lowering,

What tints do you guys have on your cars??

I want darkest legal, metal stuff, not the cheap shit that fades. Been looking at the F1 tint from Tint-A-Car. That any good?

Yeah, I was looking at getting done at the Tint A Car at Strathpine. They talked about some Titanium tint they had. This was two years ago. What's the lowest legal tint we can have on our cars? What about for the rear window? How does it go with the demisters? What's a reasonable price?

35% is darkest legal tint.

Back windows can be as dark as you like.. although it looks kinda stupid..

For a magna anywhere from $250 (lowest quality Metal tint) to $320 (higher end tint)

Demisters work fine.. One thing to make sure.. after its done and all dry (after 48 hours.. longer in cold months) wind all your windows up and down a few time to make sure the bottom corners dont lip.

i presume most states r d same..so 35% is d legal limit...

On wagon u can go darker on d rear...or if u carry work tools etc around. But have fun tryin 2 tell police that!

Its fone with demisters...its only when u pull it off b carful not 2 pull d demister off...when i pulled mine off after defects i accidently pulled d bottom half off!!!

In WA its 30% I want to go a nice 20% but i noticed a nice tint the other day which had titanium and was almost like a mirror, that would look awesome on my car being dark.

Driver, i was looking at the F1 tint when i first bought my car.

Don't go for it, its seriously overpriced, its not that good and you can get just as good and darker film for an easy 180-260 in NSW.

Qld - 30% is lowest legal.
I have 20% the guy reckons that it is a good one to get as it doesnt screem DEFECT ME!!!!
I can see out of it fine and most of the time people cannot see in.
I got it installed for $260 at Sunny Bank Tinting ... Under the cinemas at Sunnybank Hills Shopping Centre.

I think it's 35% in QLD. Thats what they told me today??

TBuTcher - So you'd recommend Sunny Bank Tinting?

DONT DO IT!!!! Mine is the darkest legal in nsw and i hate it! it looks awesome from outside and will make the black kit im getting look even better but driving it is allmost imposible. you have to press your face right up against it to see in but it is to much looking out. at night i have to stick my head out the window to reverse because visibility out the rear is 0. i think im going to have to try and mount a spotlight under the rear bar because the magna's reverse light sucks arse!

Yer Id recommend him....
He did a pretty good job and of course did the 20% stuff.
I got mucked around on the saturday morning at spent 6 hrs waiting to get it done :(
That was the only bad point I guess.
There might be other people who do this level...
I Origionally was quoted about 180-200 by another guy at wishart...
Im unsure of the type of film he was using..
The guy at sunnybank says it is a life time warranty ... but who knows how long they might be around :)

Yeah the VRX comes standard with Grey glass (pigmented glass)

So mine is a little darker than usual 20% tint.

G'day all,

A little late, but I got the F1 tint from Tint-A-Car when they had a $100 off sale. At first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as dark as I thought it would be, but have since changed my mind. It still looks cool and I don't get bad eye-sight trying to look through it (which I had to when borrowing a mate's WRX that had been seriously over-tinted). And the heat reduction was the main factor and it's UV stopping capability is very high.

Hmm - mine might work better if i didn't have my arm resting on teh window sil with the window down - bad for drivers arm!! haha

Oh - and mine came with factory tinting - Exec - option!!

I've got factory tint on my Magna, but I had 10% on my last car and it was too much.

Driving at night was an issue, and with the tinted tail lights I had, it made the thing look extremely unroadworthy.

ive got 18%, and its damn perefct. Cost me $200 and he came to my house. (Cheers Bart). dont think id go much darker than that. and you can prolly get away with 25-30% here in WA.
