Just bought myself a new headunit today. Got it at JB hifi, is last years series and was worth around $1000 but got it for $580. They were having a big stocktake sale :D
It kicks ass, i love it , it's a jvc sh909r

You gotta love mp3 for it's versatility.Fell in love with it's motorised face.
The new one model looks even better but could'nt afford it :(

yeah, the older series had a input jack on the front, i guess if you had a portable MP3 player or something... does it have one on the back? i know mine has Aux input on the back 4 a dvd player or something. (will get one eventually)

Yeah it's an audio in on the front, has a aux in at the rear and another output for dvd/vcr control as well.
W1ll1am: Jb hifi had the same model as yours for $658 at the stocktake sale!! It's a nice unit. How easy is it to load your piccies onto the diplay?

R U Sure that it was the same model? theres one that looks the same and retails around the $750 or so... doubt it'd be in stocktake sales as they only came to our shores a month or so ago! the pics are EXTREMELY easy to load on... just takes a while. the cd player comes with computer software that you load on, just grab any pic, resize it, add text anything. and then just add it onto a cd, which you download onto the unit. if it is done well, it looks pretty good.

yeah, i had 1st dibs on mine as soon as JVC released the catalog! i was waiting for about 2-3 months i think.. as soon as they landed on the shore, it was delivered to me, then installed that weekend! it's and awesome unit and i think i shall keep it for a while! (especially seeing it has RCA input.. so a tv should be added sometime along the way!
