Why does he want two tweeters for each side? Unless he is thinking of using the tweeter as an ambient tweeter, simply having two tweeters for the sake of it will not result in good sound. (High frequencies will come from the tweeters and from the 2way resulting in a very bright sound, and different tweeter positions will be bad for stereo imaging and staging, due to different source locations on each side.)
If he can: Sell his tweeter and 2way setup then buy a 2 way split system which will have crossover included. It will sound much better.
Otherwise if this is not an option he will need a crossover to send the low frequency to the 2way speaker and the highs to the tweeter. If he really wants he could cut the wires from the 2 way speaker's tweeter, then piggy back on the woofer, (providing the tweeter has inbuilt crossovers) This should work, but once again, it is not an ideal setup. I wouldn't recommend it.
Peace

i didnt say he has two tweeters for both sides. we bought the separatly because they were on sale so i was cheeper that the split system.
we just want to hook the up to the 6" speakers.
cheers jarrad.

But the 2way speakers will have a tweeter, then you are adding another tweeter on top of that = 2 tweeters for each side. Or have i got this wrong? Did you buy a dedicated midbass and a tweeter? Or an actual 2 way speaker (Woofer with tweeter mounted inside the cone) and a tweeter?

oh yer sorry tim, they do have a tweeter in the middle. but i thought it would be better to move higher freq away from the woffer. ne way this was $100 compared to $180 for a split system, will it still work? its not a show car so optimum sound isnt a nessesity. we cvant take the tweeters bak because there already opened. what do u think?

Yep nps... The point of a split system is not to separate the location of the frequencies, This is infact unwanted as separation is not a good thing if you are after sq. Nevertheless, split systems are designed so that the tweeter can be directed at the listener as high frequencies are more directional than low frequencies and it is easier to mount a small tweeter somewhere with the right angle than to mount an entire woofer on the same angle. Also due to the fact that tweeters handle high frequencies and woofers handle low frequencies better.
I wouldn't bother with the other tweeter. The kenwoods would have been designed to complement each other with the correct crossover and slope/power handling etc whilst any cheaper tweeter will probably sound worse. See if you can cash it in. If the shop gave you any advice on this to make you purchase them you could probably take it back under those grounds as their advice would have been misleading. But if you want to make your own splits you will need a separate crossover.
Peace

lol i know I bought a few tweeters from all over the place trying to find a good sound. I got refunds from jb and jaycar just like that, but i went out of my way not to mess up the packaging.
Good luck with it.

IF you really wanted to use the tweeters, you could run the tweeters to a crossover, then run wires from the crossover to where the woofer connects to the tweeters, then cut off the woofers tweeters. or you could run both but then ur tweeters would only run at half power. And you could attach the tweeters to the +/- of the woofer but then your woofer would get 1/2 power and your tweeters would get 1/2 power. So if you REALLY wanna use your tweeters and not the ones on the woofer, cut the wires and even the tweeter if you want off the woofer, then reconnect your new tweeters to where the other one was connected. I'm sure that would work, would be abit  though :P.

What brand? Power handling etc??? Out of curiosity.
