Hi guys recently had little prob where the No 5 spark plug lead was shorting, so the car was sounding like a rex with next to no go ( enough to get me the 5km home).
So changed the leads ( all ) checked the disi cap and rotor and plugs. Now the car is what sounds and feels like it's missing at around 2500-3000rpm when under load. I think i will get a new rotor and disi cap aswell as plugs but does anyone think it could be something else from the fuel or air areas?????? Checked Diagnostics and had three errors, TPS which i had to fix the clip (done) Crank angle sensor.....and Top Dead Sensor ( Disi Cap ) Once i reset the codes they haven't re-appeared so if anyone has any ideas could they let me know as i still have a week off until i go back to work and i'd like to get it fixed soon.
Cheers Adam

Sure bro best bet is to go out an get a Haynes Repair manual, will show you exactly how to check and all diagnostic codes. If i can this bloody scanner going gain tonight i'll post up the daig chart anyway.

Mate i'll send you an email with the chart of error codes and i'll get a digital pic of the diagnostic test connector terminal. There's a pic at top but you wont be able to distinguish exactly where it is. The shape with all the numbers is what it looks like. But if you have a look, look at the panelling beneath the steering wheel which you can remove then have a look at the left screw which you have to take out in order to remove the panel. (now don't remove panel this is to point you into right spot)
Now where this screw is you go roughly an inch towards the firewall and you should feel it. Easier if you lay back your seat stick head in under with torch to find, that way the terminal will be orientated properly. To test is simple get a test lead ( has little clamp at one end and pin type point at the other, also has a little bulb which lights up to show current or not, can buy cheap as from an auto shop) O.k just earth the clip to something metal and place the pin end into number one hole (look at picture)
Now the will only show if the car has experienced some problems and your check engine light has come on whilst driving. Which simply means it has picked up a malfunction somewhere in car. To check you turn key to on posn and watch the check engine light. It will flash to one or more of the following from the chart. The longer flash the big bump on chart and there will be a pause between more than one error. If have any more troubles than let me know.

I've posted instructions to read the codes. See here:
