Okies, ive had it restuck and still it fell down after awhile. I bought a few metres of this black strech fabric, dunno if its gonna hold, the foam on the carboard panel is kinda wearing away. Any1 know of places that redo this kind of thing, preferbly around the gold coast. Or will this hold?

One night my mate was in the backseat and he's like, dude is your roof lining suppose to come off and grabs the back edge and pulls down on it  . So now the back bit is hanging off about 1cm, not really noticeable, one day i'll re-stick it but i cbf atm
I had exactly the same happening, about 10-15mm was falling off the rear of the roof lining. Keep away from tarzan's grip and araldyte, because it causes the foamy-glue underneath to clump together and when it dries you can see that the glue has perforated into the material and you roof will get flat spots. Heh, mine didn't come up too bad, lucky its not to noticable tho.
thumbtack....lol
I think you should line it in blue fluff, and get some murky perspex, and put some neons behind them, so they light up when u open your doors. also, get rid of hte light in the middle a replace it with a mini disco ball...

The roof on magna's is held up with a toxic glue that actually eats the foam over time. We ended up just using a cheapo staple gun and tacking the rof up every 20cm, It looks good and it's stayed up for well over a year now.

hahaah sounds gay.
Hmm yeah i dont wanna use screws or whatever to hold it up, it will look tacky, anyone suggest an addheisive thats not toxic, and not going to erode over time?

rofl hhaha im having the same problem with my TN.
The only thing holding the bastard up is light in the middle and a few screws here and there. At the front i have an old screwdriver and on the edges that round thing that goes behind the door handle :D
If anyone knows where i can get it fixed in Perth let me know :)

yeah that was a pain for me, i ended up folding the cardboard roof stuff in half, and pulling it through the door. Not sure if thats the way to put it back in after sticking vinal or whateva on.
AND YES what a ***** it was to remove the foam!

Hey peeps.. i found that the contact cement is real good ****... it wont eat away the foam and it holds great!
im planing on doing the magnas roof soon, it looks **** when its flopping down all over the place!
on some materials the foam backing is already atatched to it! so it will be alot better thank slapping that foam on then the carpet\vinal\what ever!

F@#$%NG ROOF LININGS!!!
I have had more than a few tr and ts magnas over the last 2 years and most have had sagged hoodlinings. I pay $100 to have them relined in new fabric if I remove the board and take it to the trimmer (need a ute or van and with sedans you have to get it out thru a rear door with out creasing the board)
or i can pay $180 for the trimmer to R&R the board as well.
My suggestion if your in Sydney or on the Gold Coast, etc. Is to look up "motor trimmers" in the yellow pages.
I have found that the price I have been quoted to reline the roof vairies dramatically ($100-300) so it pays to ring around.
if you want to try a diy job then remove as much foam as u can and use 3M or Fuller spray adhesive, also put the old fabric thru the washing machine before reusing it, but don't expect the bond to last too long or look good enuf to add to the resale value of the car
