Before you kill me, I did a search, couldn't find any mention of where they are available.
1) Are they available in shops yet?
2) Has anyone got them on their cars? Pic on a light blue TF would be great.
3) Do they fit a TF? (Sounds like they are made to suit TJ/TL)
4) How much?
I'm NSW if it counts, Central West.

I am still skeptical about it.... until I see someone with them, I do not believe they exist at this stage! :P ...of course I am hoping someone will prove me wrong. :D

Haven't arrived yet. Still waiting patiently. Don't hold it against Tbutcher..... but if it turns out you can buy them in shops, and everyone out there has a pair before the group buy arrives.... I'll be a little annoyed. :doubt:

I was going to ask the same question, mainly because no one has posted pics of them installed on their car yet.
Are they still a myth???

Hmmmmm...... hope not. There were pictures FFS!!!! they can't be a myth. Just unfortunate that they are taking so long.
At one stage I was even wondering if they were taking so long because they would be a factory option on the TW. Cause looking at the pics TButcher posted - and looking at the factory ones on my TJ - the housing under the outer shell seems identical, therefore only difference I could see is that the outer shell is clear instead of red, and the housing comes in 3 different options of colours????

unfortunately the ppl that were getting them were misled and they dont fit the TE/TH models properly
..GONE..

No.. The people weren't misled.. It was clearly stated that they would fit all models, just that the TJ onwards shapes would suit best as they are based on those tail lights, not the TE - TH style lights.

it's such a pity they're the exact cluster shape as the original magna lights...

Anyways, I think we need to be told who the manufacturer/distributor is that is taking care of this, and EVERYONE email them and hound them to get up off their @sses and get them out there.
Silver or Carbon Fibre for me :D

I am with you on that :)
otherwise dosent feel like spenging money on them, I would rather tint my back lights for less than $50 then spending $240++ on pretty much same thing.

I agree, the yellow indicator just isn't worth upgrading. It should be clear with a amber bulb.
I also think they should tidy up the red reflector in the corner into the red circle of the brake light. It sort of looks odd where it is now that the whole lense isn't red.

Blake: remember that these were digpics from a catalogue....
They won't really do the product justice, although I agree with the general thrust of he arguement.
Come on TButcher, tell us who makes or distributes these things (I may be able to find a nice clean PDF of the catalogue online... get some real pics!)

obviously manufacturer tried to make these at the lowest cost they can. All they have changed from the standard mitsubishi item is the outer casing to clear plastic. As much as the orange lens might suck theres a problem with putting a clear lense. Theres no such thing as a orange bulb that fits into the socket for the indicator. I've been searching for one myself for my tail lights but havent come accross any. If anyone knows of any drop me a pm.

I've been searching the net for places that manufacture them.... found one place in Taiwan. I guess I would send a few pics, part numbers then ask if they have made them before. If the moulds are made, then it shouldn't be that expensive.
If we got 100 firm orders with deposits, we MIGHT (just might) be able to get them manufactured ourselves......
If someone has made them (or moulds) that is.
Someone please get me a manufacturer or distributor..... PLEASE!!!!

Obvioulsy the pics wont do them justice until we see a set in the flesh but im just basic my opinion with whats in front of me. As gamisou said the only thing they have really done is replaced the outer red casing with a clear one a coated the cluster shell. Still its better than nothing.
As for amber bulbs, there are plenty avaliable gamisou, my local car accessory shop has them. Fords have amber indicator bulbs stock, you can even get chrome bulbs which appear white / chrome but flash amber :D
"gamisou" now there's a name I haven't heard him called for a while

The truck they were on magically caught on fire and they were all destroyed.
How unfortunate...

Yeah well, If I find these distributors that make promises that they do not keep, they may magically catch fire as well......
