In theory you could attach any turbo to the car. You'll have to make a custom exhaust manifold or rig it up to the piping somewhere. It's air driven. I cbf going into it all, i dont know everything, someone else will help.

ok
you COULD fit the turbo of a cordia onto a 2.6l magna but it would probably be too small to bother, the 2.6 would spool the turbo very early and run out of puff at higher rpm.
as tr-envy said, turbos are universal in that they can be bolted to pretty much any engine, the main thing is matching the right turbo to your engine, once you have a turbo you need a new exhaust manifold to bolt the turbo to so that the exhaust gas from the engine can spin the exhaust wheel in the turbo, then you would need a new exhaust system because your standard one would not bolt up to the turbo. there are also oil and water lines to run to and from the turbo.
so far you have probably spent a couple grand, depends on how much you pay for the turbo (new/second hand) etc
im also guessing your tr is injected, so you will need to replace the engine management system, theres at least 2k gone straight up.
then you have to worry about the internals of the engine, being a tr it probably has a stack of kms on it, so if you start running it with a turbo without doing a rebuild then its all going to end it tears.
there are heaps of other things you need to do like pipework, fuel system, decompression head gaskets/new internals, cams etc
previous examples of turbo tr's have to my understanding cost between 7-10k
my advice, if you have the boost bug and your pockets aint real deep, buy something like an exa or et or a cordia, their cheap. otherwise keep saving
BTW, im in the process of building a turbo ts :D just waiting on the $$
