Power: 120Kw
Torque: 235Nm

Can't remember exactly at what RMP those figures are quoted, however I *think* it's around 6000.

yup al3x is correct. Get a TE V6 manual, 140 kW :D. Or get a TS with a busted motor and then get a DOHC engine, whats that kW killbilly? like 159 or something.

It's 124kw and 244Nm on PULP, if it's a second gen.

The DOHC (depending on what year it is) can be 202hp or 220hp (150kW and 163kW respectively)

Torque is about 270Nm I think (not sure on that)

I'm pretty sure that depends on the ECU though.

Depends on what 2nd gen you're talking about. V6/4 pot? EFI/Carb? Man/Auto?

About 11-14seconds depending on the quality and engine

For a V6 manual I'd say high 9's

Not fast enough to worry about :D If speed is the issue then 3rd gen seems like a MUCH better option. My 2nd gen is a waste of space. Less torque than my old VL and more weight - goes like a slug.

I wouldnt say that the 3rd gen is a MUCH better option ;)

Unless you're talking stock for stock

Just sounded like he wanted to buy one. If you're buying one then the 3rd gen are fairly cheap with more power and lot less issues than my blasted 2nd Gen.

Next fixes - timing belt (that's normal), fix leaking tappet cover, look at PCV hose and valve, replace pwr steer pump, look at CVs, rear pads, water pump, etc, etc. This heap of junk is costing me more in repairs than it cost to acquire it from the inlaws - and it's only done 188k. If Itsibitsi had the 10yr warranty on powertrain for these older models they would've been broke a decade ago.
