For starters the FTO Mivec was only a 2l. Secondly, the 3l does exist but only in Japan. Several have found their way to Australia.

Yeah I'm talking after the HJ models (the last models to be sold in Aus) I think around 2000 they started putting 3.0l in them replacing the 2.5l v6.

i thought the GTO have the 3L V6 mivec in them, the FTO had the 2L V6 mivec and the gallant had either the 2L 4cylinder or the 2L V6. but yeh some of them didnt make it to oz, just imported later and such.

Dead right, from mid nineties on they didnt make it to Aus (GJ last Aus model). Shame cause they aren't too bad.
Forgot about GTO's, strange since I own one! (1971 version lol )

Gallants had the following:

2.0L I-4 N/A (4G63)
2.0L I-4 Turbo (4G63T)
2.0L V6 MIVEC (6A12)
2.0L V6 Twin Turbo (6A12)
2.5L V6 N/A (6A13)
2.5L V6 Twin Turbo (6A13)

so the 2.5 v6 N/A didnt have mivec?

Galant's also had a 1.8 and 2.4 and never had a 3.0.

GTO's never had a Mivec.

I know, I was expanding on that list of engines and the other thought about the GTO's. GTO's had NA and turbo engines in FWD and AWD.

i was just wondering out loud but mitsu's awd engines are still E-W but are other brands AWD N-S or E-W also?

Depends on the car,

The pajero and triton had their motors N/S and they were four wheeled drive.

Yet the 3000GT (which shared the same motor as the triton and pajero for a while) was awd with an E/W configuration.
