Hi, Great forum here by the way.

I just have a quick question, i bought a 2000 TJ magna a few months ago, and the clutch has started to slip on me.

The thing is that it only has 20,000KMs on it. Is this highly unusual. Could it be anything other than a burnt out clutch?

If not, how much does a new clutch PLUS labour usually set you back?

Thanks for your replys.

AussieMagna's VR-X had a slipping clutch when he bought it too, but I think it was a little bit older than your beast. I'm sure he'll post in this thread soon enough and tell ya exactly what he's replaced it with :D

But until then.. I believe a new (and better) non-genuine clutch will set you back between $800-1200 installed.

I had to replace the clutch in my beast at about 80,000Km, it used to be a fleet car so go figure, but it's been good other than the clutch.

Without the life story, it seems funny that the clutch would slip at 20,000Km, unless someone has been riding it it's whole life, try just re-adjusting the clutch, that could be the cause of your ailment, simple 1 bolt job.

If there is oil or crap on the clutch face bad luck.

As for price I got Mitsubishi to change my unit with parts and labour it was about $1300, quite the ripoff.
