altenator whine/induced noise.
move any rca cables away from power lines, check ground leads on all ur gear. ensure it's not corroded/dirty and that its all making good contact.
Clean up ur battery terminals etc...
Good luck

There goes s_tim_ulate and his wisdom again....
Agree's with his post....
Hey, i had this problem a few weeks ago when i finally got around to installing my splits. I got this huge, bloddy annoying alternator whine thru my speakers. it used to get worse with the bumpts in the road.
Anyways, i decided to take the amp apart, and spray it clean with a can of air, as well as pack on some extra solder up my rca connector things on the pcb board. I took it apart because the rca plugs on teh amp were loose. Anyways, it could be coz u've burnt out the earth tracks on the rca connectors. every connect the power cable on the amp while the headunit was on? apparently sometimes the ampm will try to ground thru the rca connectors and this will cause the little rca tracks on h/u and or amp to burn out or something similar :doubt:
Put the amp back together, and brought some stinger rca's. its all good now :D Yeh, usual ground, power, signal wire stuff.. :doubt:

also on some lesser quality amps, screwing them into metal can cause an engine whine thru it, because it earths through the screws,
if this is the case, put a board of mdf between the amp and the metal, screw mdf into metal and amp into mdf.
