View Full Version : A couple of questions...
I've had a quick look but haven't found anything so here goes...
1/ What's the difference (if any) between a KR and a TR?
2/ The redline for my car is 6k. What happens if you try to go over that (besides the big smokey bang)? I have an auto so it shifts itself (duh) but is there a fuel cutoff of any sort?
Don't get me wrong here, I don't intend to try and find out :nuts: , just curious.
The K series is the Verada, an upmarket version of the Magna. They're all V6, and I'm sure they're all auto too.
You'll find there's a cutout not much past 6. Keeping it there will result in your aforementioned smokey bang.

your car has a rev limiter, so you can't get the bang unless your try REALLY HARD.
The KR is yes a verada- better radio, better seats, few other things.
I found the KR Ei dissapointing, and i found that my SE 5-speed had if as many if not more luxury extras.
can't go past the Xi. wood grain better stero etc etc

you could always go a KS even if it is an ei... u got the colour coded bumpers, woodgrain dash housing, auto, power windows, eleccy arial, ABS, power mirrors, double din stereo, comfy luxury suspension (lol), climate control... have i forgotten anything :P
So is a KR just the upmarket version of a TR?

Actually Mitsubishi did make a few Verada's with a manual transmission. When I mean few, I mean extremely few, quite rare actually.

Kr = Verada
Not much difference, abit nicer inside but the verada's have bigger bumpers to the magna.
