hey guys like the title says i need advice on this muffler.
will it fit properly? i don't want the twin pipes sticking out to far(probably only a few mm if possible?) the "barrel" is 6"x9".
and of coarse the most important question, does anyone know what these things sound like?
i'm after a muffler that you can just hear purring at idle, at high rev's i don't want something full on loud, just a good loudish refined note.
i don't ask for much lol
cheers

I have this (see pic). Most likely very similar to your suggestion. Power increase was noticeable. Noise louder than VRX or the Lukeys used a lot by AMC guys, but not as noisy as "cannon" type mufflers. Without headers it created sick rumbling resonance around 2000 RPM, but after RPW headers it was reduced by some 50%. Still there tho. Just bad design on Magna exhaust in general causing this, I reckon. Idling is nice rumble, but once gunned screams like a Beast (The Killer Beast is 3.0 Auto). But the headers and CAI add to the noise too, of course.
Would I buy it again? Hmmmm, perhaps bit noisy, but - yee, I guess. Looks WAY better than Lukeys! :D

Mine had to be welded, since they are "generic" stuff. Where as some of the Lukeys are bolt-on stuff. Cost was bit dear, due to the labour, some 300+, can't remember. I think it was, cos we had to replace a resonator too, so the XForce can was less than 300. Sorry...
This was all at my fav place: Aust Bests Tyres, Sydney

i got a quote on the muffler in the pic, $250. they said they may freight for free(there in rocky) he said the last car they fitted this muffler to was a magna and it sounded awesome, he also said that they have been slightly re-designed. pretty expensive but sounds like it might be worth it. expect to pay between $50-$80 fitting as well
