Hey guys, im getting my emanagement system installed on tuesday and i was wondering.. for all you guys who have it, how much power improvement did you gain?

also i am about to have a 2.5"aftermarket exaust fitted and was curious to see if anybody has a similar setup

Cheers

Every car is different so results will vary, it will ultimately depend on the tune/tuner too.

Who's installing and dyno tuning the Greddy for you?

According to the dyno I got 9kw gains mostly in top range
I believe it can do better with a less rushed retune...hopefully within a few months I will have better figures

has anyone got a basic FUEL/AIR MAP for a 6g74. I know everyones will be different etc however I've been getting some tuneing problems (not sure if it's the e-manage) and I was wanting another map so I can see the difference.

Turbo MAPS Also welcome.
Thanks

Any other mods yet?
I'd have CAI, headers, muffler at least before doing Greddy (or any other "chip").

Unless you're getting in more air, adding fuel through the emanage will only cause your oxygen sensor (in your exhaust) to tell the ECU that it's running rich and the ECU will reduce the duty cycle of the injectors to lean out the fuel again (even with higher values from the intercepted emanage figures). Get a turbo or a valve job to get your money's worth from the emanage or any other piggy back for that matter.

That's not entirely true. A piggyback won't just dump more fuel into the cylinders. A stock car already runs a little rich. Tuning the piggyback will most likely remove fuel at points which will liberate a little power and can improve economy. The other reason you tune a piggyback is ti advance the timing. That returns some more power too.

i have both the mods you speak of emange and 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.
I only had my car dyno tuned for 1 hour wen the greddy went in and recorded a peak power increase of 9hp atw and increased torque.
Now the 2.5" mandrel bent system only gave about 5hp atw increase at top end but the real improvement was down low (from 40km/h to 90km/h) recorded an increase of over 10hp atw.
With these 2 mods done and a few breathing mods you would be surprised how quick your car can actually be

Does he usually deal with GReddy units or anything?

Did you got the ignition and injector harnesses as well in that $400? You lose a lot of the power of the e-manage without them so it's worth hunting them down if you haven't got them already.

I picked up 10 hp atw from the greddy-emanage on regular 91 ron ULP

Where/how does the Greddy intercept the signals? Does it catch and mod the Air Flow Sensor data??

with the basic unit u can control and air/fuel mixture. factory setting are too rich.

with the additional harness u can control the ingnition timing and u can also control injection. its also good for turbo applications. just go to greddy.com for more info. keep in mind you are gonna need a laptop for all this unless u get the profec-01.

if you just want to control fuel/air mixture then s-afc 2 is ideal. its also cheaper than the emanage. it also has a cool looking blue screen.

Thanks, but I need a copy of the wiring diagram if someone could obligue. Since the AFS send air flow information as a frequency signal, I was hoping to get a quick fix re: which pins were responsible for their output from the meter.

correct, that is how its done for injector, ignition is another matter.
