Hey,

I need to remove the rear bar of my KH verada before it gets resprayed. Has anybody removed the rear bar of their 3rd gen? What's involved? How hard is it and how long should it take?

My quote says 1.5hrs for the crash repairer to remove it....so I rekon I should be able to do it in oh...20-30 mins.

I did it to install a tow bar on my TE sedan.
It does take a long time.

You have to remove the carpet from the sides, teh plastic moulding around the striker plate of the boot and take off all of those nuts around 10 nuts.
Also have to drop the muffler and remove teh heat shield. and there are four bolts under the car.
Took a mate and I around an hour to do.
The bolts that connect to the chassis rails are done up pretty tight.

Be real careful when the bar comes off - use two people to remove it as it is hella flexi and easily damaged. Be really careful refitting it too - they weren't made to be durable!!

If the task is that tedious I don't think I'll worrk about trying to save some dollars by doing it myself.

Thank guys, the info is much appreciated.
