what i uderstand with remote locking if you open it and you don't open the divers door for 30sec it will lock its self again.

Don't the TE come with remotes if it has already got central lockng

Yea, you car does have remote locking. You'll just have to go to your local mitsu dealer to get a new remote (should cost about $55) and then follow the instructions in your manual to install it.

Ok I finally have a remote now. This time I rung Blue Ribbons ( local dealer ) and guess what they now agree I should have a remote for my car. went out there yesterday they took vin number and said that I should have a 3 button one. They had none in stock, only the 1 button remotes ,he told me it will be there the next day............went out there again today and continued to listen to this guy tell me mine had a 3 button remote and all the wonderful things I can do with it ,only to find out when he opened the box it came in that it was a single button remote. So I really didn't need to order it and go back there after all ...but anyway I got it now so I can sit out front and play with my locks...my life is that good...

cost was $47.00 and by the way thanks for all your help...

shaneboy67, you from round Ipswich cause I found their spare parts people know F*$#$ all about Magnas, I needed the clips that hold the battery cover in place, push button not screw type and apparantly there's only screw type, wish I had've had my car there.
I have had no probs with their service department though.

I broke a couple of those push button battery cover ones recently and managed to pick some new ones up off a stand at Supercheapauto - if thay have such your way try them - if no luck lemme know I'll post ya some.

Not from Ipswich itself I'm down Redbank way, not as bad. Too many wanta-be race cars in Ipswich for me.Have been known to go in there on the occasional Saturday night to see the gemini boys go round and round and round .............it's good for a laugh.
