does anyone know if I can change the remote unlocking to 1 button press instead of 2 to unlock all doors.
life is too short to keep pressin the button twice........and I keep upsetting my wife when she want's to get in the car......cause I sometimes forget
If I've got the keys in the ignition and I have only pressed the button once to get in, I have to take them out and press the button a second time to unlock all doors....I ain't leaning over to unlock them manually.
so u can see I don't like it, can mitsi service do something with that fancy handheld pc for me?
cheers
thanks shaneboy67 for the thread idea

You could just flick the door lock from inside the car, Im pretty sure that will open up everything.
You'd probably need an aftermarket alarm to open all doors. Sounds like a lot of hassle. Just click the button twice man... You'll get used to it.

I don't believe that the keychains can be recoded for this, more of a safety feature than anything. Instead of having to take the keys out of the ignition, do all your doors unlock when you lock then unlock again from the inside? or still only the drivers door? (Did that make any sense?)
At least you know if your wife is using the car at night and she presses the remote once so just her door unlocks, that there is less chance of someone getting in from the other side. That's what it's for, safety and peace of mind.
Short of that, buy a TF, one button, one click, all doors unlock. (But why oh why do you have to press the boot unlock button twice before it will open. ) Oh by the way, I will happily trade cars ;)
Edit: Damn you S_tim_ulate, beat me to it.... do you live on here lol ;)

are you really supposed to press the button for the boot twice? Coz i always thought it was bad reception or something, and you always had to press the damn button about 4 times before the booot came up....oh well
man...look at timmy's post count...he averages 8 posts per day  lol

yeah that boot button is gettin a workout from me as well.
I think it is because it doesn't stick out as much and is harder to depress fully....or I've just got fat fingers

lol Sorry had to bring it up...
Don't go nuts with your boot button Eek... Just learn to press that twice too... Mines gone, all the rubber's worn off, the last driver used to mash it. (thinking it was broken) So now I need a key to press it in. And seeing I don't have the master key I cant get into the boot any other way from the outside... Yeah it feels like I have to press it three times sometimes too. That's just the design, otherwise you'd be opening the boot all the time.
(im surprised theres no boot warning light on ur dash.
the keyring part has also broken so I cant fix it to my keys anyway.
Hmmm Does anyone know where to drill through without busting it...
Pfft, who uses a boot anyway?
Peace
Tim
btw... I have no life... I'm on here at home and at work. (Just started a new job and vowed to cut down on the net use.) :( I think my new posts button is wearing out... I need to press that twice to get reception too :)
Hey I am up to 8 posts a day... I should go for admin lol
hehe, does your remote look as rotten as mine does? :P
